The Modern Minstrel
Andrew London Trio with Wayne Mason on Piano
Kapiti songwriter Andrew London teams up with his trio for an evening of musical hilarity featuring Kiwi social and political themes.
A self-taught guitarist, Andrew has performed with rock bands, jazz trios, stage shows and as a soloist. Now living on the Kapiti Coast, he is primarily involved with the Andrew London Trio, which features his wife Kirsten on bass and saxophonist Nils Olsen. Nils will also be seen in July as Lead Sax in the RNZAF Jazz Orchestra.
The trio has released more than a dozen albums, mostly which have been his own original material, with Hot Club Sandwich, The Cattlestops, and under his own name.
The trio will be joined by well-known pop composer and pianist Wayne Mason of The Warratahs for their Blenheim show.

Watch them at work
Radio NZ filmed a video clip of Andrew and friends playing '40 Winters' live on Jesse Mulligan's show last month.
